WHAT I EAT IN A DAY|KETO DAY 4

Hello and today is day 4 on keto damn the week is going fast.So today I had breakfast,a snack and dinner.There was no lunch since the breakfast was at 11 am i really need to start waking up at 5.30 as per my new year resolutions.

Immediately I woke up i had wheat grass powder and water since it should be taken on an empty stomach and at night i had water with pink salt to get electrolytes since you lose some due to ketosis.

The meals for today are very simple and got proteins and fats.Enjoy.

WHAT I ATE ON 9TH AUGUST 2018

BREAKFAST

MUSHROOM AND SPINACH OMELETTE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup button mushrooms-got at naivas
  • 1 bunch of spinach chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tea-spoon of double cream/heavy cream

The Instructions

  • I sautéed the mushrooms first on a pan with just olive oil and granulated garlic flakes.
  • then I fried some spinach on a pan and set them aside.
  • to the two eggs add some cream and whisk to combine
  • pour on the heated pan
  • let it set
  • place the fried mushroom and spinach on one side of the omelette
  • then fold over the omelette onto itself
  • let it cook for a while
  • I covered mine with a glass lid so it steamed for 30 seconds
  • that was it
  • I served mine with half an  avocado.

SNACK

SPICED CUCUMBER SLICES

The Ingredients

  • 1 English cucumber slices
  • half a lime
  • cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
  • pinch of salt

The Instructions

  • add the cucumber slices to a bowl
  • add all the spices,lime juice,vinegar and salt
  • mix well
  • enjoy

AVOCADO AND CHICKEN SALAD

The Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast cubed
  • half an avocado
  • half a lime
  • parsley dried

The Instructions

  • boil the chicken in a sufuria (pot) 5-8 minutes till cooked through.
  • then drain it off to a bowl
  • on another bowl add the avocado,lime juice and parsley.
  • mix well
  • add the chicken pieces
  • mix well
  • serve and enjoy

That was a quick supper since I was not so hungry and after a while i had a cup of tea made with black tea and cream and sweetened with stevia.I am using the green powdered stevia so i have to strain after mixing it with water then i use the liquid as my sweetener.I will buy erythritol sweetener or stevia drops when i am in Nairobi.
