Hello am starting to eat keto from today 6th august 2018 and i will be sharing my journey here by showing you what i eat in a day and my body progress as i go.

What is keto you might ask?
A keto or ketogenic way of eating involves turning the body into a fat-burning machine. It has many proven benefits for weight loss, health and performance, as millions of people have experienced already.
This involves eating less carbohydrates thus forces your body to use fat as the first-line source of fuel, instead of the usual glucose. When only fat is available for the body to burn, the body converts the fats into fatty acids, and then into compounds called ketones, which can be taken up and used to fuel the body’s cells.
The meals involve lots of proteins,fats,no sugar,some fruits and low carb vegetables.You can do it as a vegetarian,vegan or as an omnivore.I am doing it as an omnivore so that means both animal products and vegetables.
WHAT I EAT IN DAY-KETO FRIENDLY
Breakfast today since it is my first day i went big.I had 2 eggs,half an avocado,3 strawberries,1 spinach bunch and 2 beef sausages.
I had a salad for lunch today.
The Ingredients were:
The salad included:fried mushrooms,lettuce,tomatoes,beef strips,Cheddar cheese roasted cashews and cucumbers.The dressing included:olive oil,garlic granules and garlic salt.
Dinner time i had goat fry with broccoli and i stir fried it together.This was very simple just fry the goat with some onions then after it is cooked add the broccoli and spices of your choice and enjoy.
Tips for keto
- stay hydrated.
- drink 1 cup water with salt to replenish electrolytes.
- no working out the first week of keto
- no milk and no sweet alcohol.
